Wendy Williams was decked up in her go-to black boots, yellow North Face jacket, and New York Yankees baseball hat. The “How You Doin’?” host was seen at Newark Airport with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., traveling back to Miami, TMZ reported Tuesday. Contrary to prior reports, Williams seems to be in excellent health and was not wheelchair-bound. After her airplane arrived to Miami, a fan inquired about the return date of The Wendy Williams Show, and the gossip queen confirmed that a return was in the works. She was allegedly overheard telling the fan that she was trying to resolve her difficulties with WellsFargo Bank, which had blocked Williams’ accounts due to concerns she is not mentally stable enough to handle her money and is thus susceptible to abuse.
Williams said in an interview with Good Morning America that she would be ready to return to the public spotlight in three months, if everything goes according to plan. Nevertheless, insiders at Debmar-Mercury have informed Page Six that if Williams wants her program back, it would take more than three months since she no longer has a time slot available. Sherri Shepherd’s new talk program, Sherri, will air on FOX in the same time slot as Williams’ old show, Williams & Company. Shepherd’s show will be brought to completion by the production business, which is “100 percent dedicated” to seeing it through.
